Nina Salaman was a noted scholar, translator and columnist. As well as translating medieval Hebrew poetry, she was a poet in her own right. This collection, first published in 1910, shows her remarkable grace.

Nina Salaman was a Hebraist, known especially for her translations of medieval Hebrew poetry. In addition, she published historical and critical essays, book reviews, and an anthology of Jewish readings for children, as well as poetry of her own.
Born Nina Davis, in 1901 she married Redcliffe Nathan Salaman, a British physician.
