Irvin Shrewsbury Cobb was born on June 23, 1876. At the age of seventeen, he began writing for the Paducah Daily News, his hometown newspaper. At the age of nineteen, he became editor-in-chief; until then, the youngest in our country. He has worked as a columnist, humorist, and author. But "horror" and "short stories" are not why he is remembered. He is remembered because he was, and still is, very funny. And though he is now dead, he passed away on March 11, 1944, this "Anatomy Cobbs" work, among others, left an indelible mark. for humanity: a smile.
