Plot

A two-letter novel (first and first edition of the original) written by Francis Fanny Hill, a wealthy middle-aged English woman who is living a fulfilling life with her beloved husband Charles and his friends), to an anonymous acquaintance identified only as "Lady". Fanny was dominated by "Madame" to talk about the "scandalous periods" of her youth.

The first letter begins with a brief description of Fanny's poor childhood in the Lancashire village. At the age of 14, she lost her parents to smallpox and went to London to find work as a maid and was invited to a brothel. Take part in the sexual encounter between an ugly old couple and a lovely young couple and take part in the lesbian encounter with the bisexual prostitute Phoebe. Client Charles invites Fanny to escape. She lost her virginity to Charles and became a lover. Charles was fooled by the South Sea, and Fanny was driven by despair and poverty to become the wife of a wealthy merchant named Mr. NS-. After calming down for a while, she sees Mr. H having sex with a maid and seduces Will (Mr. H's young waiter) as an act of revenge. MH learned that she was having sex with Will. After being abandoned by Mr. H, Fanny works as a prostitute for a wealthy customer in a cheerful house run by Mrs. Cole. This marks the end of the first character.

The second letter begins with a discussion of the boredom of writing about sex and the difficulty of finding a balance between vulgar language and "influenced minor metaphors and detours." Fanny then describes his adventure at Mrs. Cole's house. This includes riots, a fake "virgin" sale cleverly staged for a wealthy deceiver named Mr. Norbert, and a bondage session with a man involved in a birch battle. .. .. These are stories that are interspersed with stories that are not directly related to Fanny. For example, three other girls at home (Emily, Luisa, and Harriet) describe the loss of their virginity and the charming and stupid goddess Luisa's "Good Kid Dick." Fanny also describes anal intercourse between two older men (removed from some later editions). Fanny eventually retired from prostitution and became the mistress of a wealthy, socialite 60-year-old man (Fanny described it as "reasonable joy"). This stage in Fanny's life determined her intellectual development and made her rich when her lover died of a cold snap. Soon after, she has the opportunity to meet Charles, who has returned to poor England after being shipwrecked. Fanny unconditionally gives property to Charles, but he insists on marrying her.

The characters developed in the novel include Charles, Mrs. Jones (Fanny's owner), Mrs. Cole, Will, Mr. H and Mr. Norbert. Prose consists of long sentences with many subordinate clauses. His morality was common at the time, as he opposed tyranny, did not accept betrayal, and only approved heterosexual unions based on mutual love.
