Terry Carr never really shined as a writer, although he did write some remarkable stories. However, his talent as a story editor and anthologist is significant and undeniable, and he has brought many good writers and authors into the realm of science fiction and fantasy. His first two novels, of which Warlord of Kor were a part, were understandably not renewed by Mr. Carr. So enjoy the blood and thunder, but don't think this is representative of his work!
