Ein gar nicht düsteres Trauerspiel, in dem nicht nur ein verkrachter Baron, eine schöne Witwe, ein junger Gymnasiast und seine Freundin, die partout nicht mehr als Mädchen gesehen werden will, sowie allerlei bodenständige Ärzte und Kommerzienräte ihren Auftritt haben, sondern auch ein leibhaftiges Phantom. Das Ergebnis ist ein Romanfragment, das nur mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge gelesen werden kann...

Franziska (Gräfin zu) Reventlow (bürgerlicher Name Fanny Liane Wilhelmine Sophie Auguste Adrienne Gräfin zu Reventlow, 18. Mai 1871 - 26. Juli 1918) war eine deutsche Schriftstellerin, Künstlerin und Übersetzerin, die als "Böhmische Gräfin" von Schwabing (eine Unterhaltung) berühmt wurde Bezirk in München) in den Jahren vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg.
