Etiquette in Society, in Business, in Politics and at Home

From advice on planning the perfect wedding to eating an artichoke correctly, Emily Post offers instruction on how to live a well-mannered life circa 1922. With a sometimes gentle, sometimes sharp wit, she maintains that true ladies and gentlemen are characterized not by wealth but by their behavior toward others.

Emily Post was an American author famous for writing on etiquette. Post was born as Emily Price in Baltimore, Maryland in October 1872. Her father was the architect Bruce Price and her mother was Josephine (Lee) Price of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. After being educated at home in her early years, she attended Miss Graham's finishing school in New York after her family moved there.
