Many Voices

This volume of poetry has many elements that children could appeal to, but there are also some explorations of their feelings of love, lust, and longing that the average 10-year-old would find downright gross. There are also moments of joy, moments of sweet sweetness and moments of sharp penetration in this collection that includes views from many angles. Recurring themes like love, death, gardens and fairies allow us to glimpse the vivid imagination of E. Nesbit.
